Proof of Claims: if you have not yet filed a Proof of Claim, please wait until we gather all necessary information on filling out the form.  The deadline is April 27, 2009 and filing first does not mean you get paid first. There is no rush in filing if it means having to file an amended claim later on.

If you’ve already files a Proof of Claim, then stay tuned and check here to see if you need to file an amended claim before the deadline.

Getting Your Name on the Verified List of Secured Creditors: we’ve been instructed to email Carol Budinger a carol.budinger@hellerehrman.com requesting that they add our names to a pending update list of creditors. Many have complained that they do not receive a response. Update:  readers who send an email to Carol are getting an auto-response that she is not the person handling updates to the Verified List of Secured Creditors.  So, despite Heller’s reassurances that they will consult the latest employee lists, it is better to send me your contact info (see below) and I’ll monitor progress on any updates filed with the bankruptcy court.

As a backup, if you are not on the Redacted Verified List of Creditors, please email your contact information (name and address) to me at hellerdrone@gmail.com. I will maintain a database and match it up with any updated list filed with the bankruptcy court.

    I just sent an email to Carol and got this auto-reply:
    “Your email message has been received by Carol Budinger. Please be aware that emails related to the firm’s bankruptcy, including requests related to the creditors list, will not be acted upon. I am not the proper forum for these messages, requests, or complaints. Emails requesting change of address will be acted upon and your address verified and/or updated. Emails requesting inclusion on the firm’s email mailing lists will be acted upon and you will be added to the distribution list.”

    W2s Will Be Sent Out In Timely Fashion – 1/1/09
    W2s will be sent out by the required deadline, January 31. If your address has changed since your departure, and you have not already advised Carol Budinger of your new address, please email your new address to carol.budinger@hellerehrman.com. Please do not copy any other person on your change of address email.

- a place for support, a place of empowerment, a place of passion;

- a place to learn about job leads, resume preparation, skill building, training, new opportunities, and how to succeed in a new workplace;

- a place to keep up on the latest news as to how Heller Ehrman management intends to treat its support staff as it winds down its operations - will it be every woman for herself? or will it be "let me hold the door for you and is there anything else I can do for you"?

- a place of refuge.
