We’ve Been Spotted

As you may or may not know, we have a tag entitled “We’ve Been Spotted” that let’s you see how others are finding us.

As an FYI, we’ve had 40,000 hits as of today, we’ve moved up the Top WordPress Blog list from #93 to #60, and yesterday, the post Are Some Life Preservers More Golden Than Others was #22 on the WordPress Top Posts yesterday.

As your cruise director Heller Drone has said, it would have been easy to have advertising here on this blog but that’s not a priority.  The more we get noticed, inside Heller and out, the better it is for an above-board treatment of Heller support staff.

Over and out.

    Just a quick vent:
    I am a former Heller drone – I left the L.A. office in November 2006 (moved to another state). I am disgusted and deeply saddened over everything that has happened to the firm. I worked for Heller nearly 10 years and still feel strong ties to it not just because I have friends who work there, but also because I feel it was a wonderful place to work. At least in the beginning. I think my last 4 years with the firm were not so great mostly because along with changes to the firm came a not-so-nice atmosphere. I truly believe the push to go “big business” was a huge mistake and the “powers that be” lost sight of the happiness of the firm’s employees. I think the excuse that the firm is failing due to “several large cases that settled” is just that – an excuse (which any intelligent person does not believe). Perhaps grave mis-management plays a small part. Destroying a 119 yr. old firm – that’s quite an accomplishment.

    My thoughts and prayers are with you all and I wish you the best of luck in your job search!

    Trisha Miller

- Don't be a dill weed.

- Treat other people the way you want to be treated.

- Ladies and children first.

- This is a rescue, not a bitch session.

- Help don't harm.

- Save the snarks for the attorneys and Above The Law.

Heller Highwater is not:

- a place to practice viscious and vindictive "whisper down the lane" rumour-mongering;

- a place to bad mouth co-workers;

- a place for diatribes against specific people or specific incidents;

- a place to heap pity on poor Heller Ehrman staff by outsiders;

- a place that discriminates or sets margins noting who is outside and who is inside - we even welcome supportive Heller Ehrman attorneys!;

- meant to further the demise of Heller Ehrman, LLP.

Heller Highwater is:

- a place for support, a place of empowerment, a place of passion;

- a place to learn about job leads, resume preparation, skill building, training, new opportunities, and how to succeed in a new workplace;

- a place to keep up on the latest news as to how Heller Ehrman management intends to treat its support staff as it winds down its operations - will it be every woman for herself? or will it be "let me hold the door for you and is there anything else I can do for you"?

- a place of refuge.
