Updated FAQ

Someone kindly alerted us to the fact that the FAQ distributed on 10/1 and 10/3 has once again been updated.  The 10/10 version simply has a list of unemployment website links at the end of the document.

I guess it would be too much to ask for not only an email notification of any update to what Heller management feels is such a vital document, but also for a redline version to we can see what is actually updated.  At least they are consistent in their lack of communication and putting the burden of extracting information on the remaining passengers of the S.S. Heller Ehrman.

    Hey, here’s some good news … according to Heller Ehrman’s website, “Heller Ehrman Earns Top Diversity Ranking For Third Consecutive Year.” Wow!

    Just want to put in a pitch for the HR souls who are updating the job postings site at Heller. It is a kindness to us really to have made that site available, and I am grateful that it is there. The HR staff have been taking it on the chin for weeks now just trying to help – to get us what we need – to get information and direction they need to help get us what we need. So if the job site is out of date, it is understandable. And, no, I’m not in HR.

    Also a big thank you to them marketing staff who have been staying to keep p the website, posting the press releases. The PR folks have been busy on our behalf speaking to the press and getting the information out there. So thanks!

    Yep, the website’s still going strong, chock full of “diversity” self-kudos and fluffy press releases. FW Marketing has done a dandy job preserving the firm’s elite status since L Kirk & Co. took over last year. And to top it off, their award-winning “Heller Ehrman Alumni Q&A” promotion is going gangbusters with so many new entries!

    I totally agree with you about Lynn Kirk. I think they were more talking about the people who actually make up the staff in the department. They just do as they are told, as all the HR folks are doing what they are told by David Sanders, et al. If you want to blame people, there is always the Chief at the head of every admin department, but the rest of the staff are just there to do their job and take home a paycheck. The person in charge of updaing the website is doing so at the direction of L. Kirk, Matt Larrabee, D. Sanders & all the rest. It’s not her fault what gets posted, not is it right to blame her.

Heller Highwater is:

- a place for support, a place of empowerment, a place of passion;

- a place to learn about job leads, resume preparation, skill building, training, new opportunities, and how to succeed in a new workplace;

- a place to keep up on the latest news as to how Heller Ehrman management intends to treat its support staff as it winds down its operations - will it be every woman for herself? or will it be "let me hold the door for you and is there anything else I can do for you"?

- a place of refuge.
