Just FYI, the rest of the site is still there behind that wiped-clean front page, if you know the extension for the next layer. For example, the attorney bios are all still there at

The plans that had been drawn up for dealing with the Heller Ehrman site were thrown out the window by someone on the DC.

The depressing site you see is the result of that decision.

BTW…Who outside of IT refers to a Web site as “external”?

To people who aren’t in IT, a Web site is a Web site.

Some people may call it a “public” site, but only technology folks differentiate between an intranet and an extranet that way.

You’d think they’d at least put up a press release or something, that page just looks stupid! (but I guess they fired the people who know how to fix that, and those who are left have no idea what to do with it). I agree with the cruise director, many people call it the external site, not just at Heller but at other firms too. It distinguishes it between the portal/intranet and the website. The attorneys probably don’t use that term though.

Good luck & I hope there’s enough life rafts for everyone!

Heller was a really great place to work and had many intelligence people. I guessed this is time to say bye and good luck to all of you.
