We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced litigation secretary for our Berkeley office. This position is responsible for various administrative and secretarial support functions for four attorneys. The main duties of the position will be a variety of tasks such as typing correspondence, legal documents and memos; creating table of contents and table of authorities; file documents by ECF (Electronic Case Filing); enter attorneys time into time and billing system; handling of daily mail; enter information into docketing; organizing and maintaining files; assist attorneys in copying, mailing; faxing and perform administrative support functions as needed; occasional travel arrangements; and transcription including word processing.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask and recognize established priorities; have excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong administrative and organization skills with high attention to detail; work well in a team and independently; and be committed to excellence in their work.
Position prefers a Bachelor’s degree, or a minimum of 5 years legal secretarial experience. Job requires a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to type a minimum of 70 wpm. Occasional overtime may be required.
