Entry-Level Corporate Paralegal (Portuguese Fluency)

Major Downtown Law firm seeks Entry Level Corporate Paralegals. Corporate Requirements: language fluency in Portuguese (read, write and speak) or a strong business background (major in business or economics and/or business summer/internship experience)

Job Duties: Assist lawyers with various types of corporate transactions.  Prepare and file registration statements, periodic reports and other regulatory documents for domestic and foreign corporations (including 10-Ks, 10Qs, 20-Fs, 6-Ks) with Securities and Exchange Commission. Draft and file formation documents for corporations, limited liability companies with various secretary of state offices.
 

Litigation Paralegal

Small, downtown, construction, litigation firm is seeking a personable, professional and eager Litigation Paralegal.  Candidate will have 2-3 years or more of experience and must know Concordance inside and out as the firm just acquired this software and the Paralegal will be the go to person in the office.  Firm is also looking for someone who has strong document management skills especially with digesting depositions and other legal documentation.  Must be polished, professional, hard working and willing to do what it takes to get the job done as they are a small firm and everyone pitches in during crunch time.  It is a very congenial environment with no attitudes and ego so they are looking for the same.  They are compensating $45-$50K annually. 
 

Litigation Paralegal

Major, international, legal firm is seeking a seasoned Litigation Paralegal (General Litigation – Complex Business Litigation Paralegal) for their NYC office.  Candidate will have at least 3-5 years of large firm litigation experience.  Trial preparation and experience, cite checking and blue booking are a must.  Experience as a Managing Clerk is preferred.  Want individuals with tenured experience, no gaps in their resumes and at least a Bachelor’s Degree.  Must be articulate, professional, personable and driven.  Flexibility for overtime will be expected. 
 

Litigation Legal Secretary

Texas based Commercial Litigation Law Firm seeks a Legal Secretary to join its newly opened NYC Office. The qualified candidate will have at least 10 years of litigation experience and be competent with ECF Filing. The Legal Secretary will have New York State court experience and Federal Court experience and will setup and maintain file organization for litigation files. Experience as a secretary for a trial team throughout trial; preferably as the Lead Secretary. Experience assisting paralegals with trial preparation. Litigation experience in business litigation, patent litigation a plus. Experience working in a small office. Proficient in Word, competent in Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge of CompuLaw and IManage a plus. Must be a self-starter, bright, able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Able to work extra hours, when necessary.
 

Bankruptcy Paralegal

Responsibilities: Under attorney supervision, assist with drafting motions; Preparing and filing Proofs of Claim; Electronic court filing (ECF) and service of pleadings, and generally facilitating the filing of documents with the bankruptcy court; Communicating with courts re: hearing dates and procedures; Cite checking and blue book formatting of briefs; Research using Bloomberg, SEC databases, Pacer, and Westlaw or Lexis; Discovery and trial preparation for adversary proceedings; Drafting UCCs, performing UCC searches and preparing outlines of search results; Creating and maintaining hearing and response deadline calendars for large bankruptcy cases; Supporting all bankruptcy attorneys re: daily requests.

Qualifications: Must be computer literate, and proficient in the use of bankruptcy related software applications and on-line sources.

Managing Attorney (Washington, DC)

A large firm in DC is seeking a Managing Attorney.  The job responsibilities maintaining the firm’s docketing and calendar software system; establish and maintain procedures for gathering case schedule information, ensuring accuracy and consistency of the case schedule data, calendars and other reports from the Firm’s system; provide case-specific litigation deadlines as needed and/or weekly calendar reports for attorneys; confer with outside services regarding court retrieval and service papers and negotiate with outside vendors; perform electronic court filings for attorneys; maintain e-filing registrations and passwords for the various systems; assist in the orientation of new personnel with respect to the centralized case calendaring procedures and practices in the DC office.  The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree.  A JD is preferred.  Candidate will have thorough understanding of law firm operations with at least 2 years experience in a Managing Attorneys or Centralized Docketing department of an AMLAW 100 law firm.  Experience with Compulaw software is strongly preferred, as well as various court websites, docket searching and document retrieval databases such as PACER, CourtAlert, MA3000, Courtlink, Thompson CourtExpress.  Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent time management and organizational skills a must!

 

Interactive Marketing Coordinator

Responsibilities: Primary responsibility is the formatting and distribution via email of the firm’s client alerts, news and event invitations. Will layout, test and circulate HTML email drafts with Business Development teams, partners and others, making changes as needed. Assist in building distribution lists and segmenting contacts in the CRM database across multiple criteria for mailings. Send emails using the email merge tools. Help to enforce the firm’s data protection and anti-spam policies related to this work. Make HTML email templates and change existing templates to support business needs. Configure, test and set up ReAction Server to support global Business Development email campaign tracking, and event registration and management. Create InterAction folders and fields to support events. Produce follow-up reports and metrics for email campaigns and events. Help to support global team on consistent eMarketing system usage. Suggest improvements to the business processes, and to reports generated by the system. Will also perform data stewarding duties to assist in the maintenance and administration of client and contact data in the firm’s Client Relationship Management system. These duties include cleansing and verifying contact data, accurately identifying and resolving duplicates, conforming contact data to the firm’s standards, handling data change management tickets, researching and processing changes, maintaining key additional information such as board memberships, and supporting users on system functions and business processes. May provide other project support as needed. Qualifications: Will need to have or develop advanced InterAction user skills. Should have strong HTML and CSS skills, database experience, very good Excel skills. Must have excellent English language skills and a very good attention to detail. Will need to clearly and concisely communicate, both orally and written, with people at all levels within the firm, and occasionally with contacts and vendors. Should be proactive, and able to work and move projects forward without heavy supervision. Job will require strong logical thinking and problem solving. Some college or technical training preferred. Technical training grad or min. 1 yr law firm with database experience.
 

Accounts Receivable Clerk (Bridgewater, NJ)

Position within accounting department requires the preparation of daily deposits and cash received reports, applying cash, making collection calls on overdue accounts, writing up and enter adjustments, maintaining aging report and performing client inquiry requests. Strong communication skills are required for resolving client issues promptly. Ideal candidate must have accounts receivable experience and be proficient in Excel and Word. Self-motivation and ability to manage a diverse workload independently required.
 

Trust & Estate Paralegal (Bridgewater, NJ)

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years experience handling estate planning and administration for high net worth individuals. The responsibilities of the position include drafting wills, trusts and other estate planning forms, performing processing of trust and estate documents and directly dealing with clients. Additionally, experience in the administration of sophisticated estates and trusts including gift, estate and fiduciary tax matters is required. Successful candidates must be able to work independently and as an integral member of this growing department. Excellent communication and organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and enthusiasm are essential.
