NORTHERN CALIFORNIA TRAINING SPECIALIST
(San Francisco and Silicon Valley Offices)

Department: Technology Support Services
Position: Technology Training Specialist
Reports to: Robert Karwic, Technology Training Manager with dotted line to Office Administrators or designees
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Successful candidate will work with the Firm training team to develop and execute required training on Firm technology applications and solutions for the Firm’s San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices. This will include everything from learning the applications, assessing the training needs, developing and preparing the necessary training documentation or vehicle for delivery and communicating the training to end-users, in live classes, web casts and deskside. Communication and coordination with the training community, technical community and end-users will be required in this position. Candidate will participate in designing and executing technical training programs that meet the Firm’s needs and enable lawyers and staff to utilize the Firm’s technology to the fullest. Candidate must have hands-on experience using the Microsoft Suite of programs and experience as a legal secretary (litigation) or legal document processor is a big plus. The candidate must be detail-oriented, well-organized, and possess the ability to work independently and successfully interface with personnel at all levels within the Firm and with outside vendors. We are looking for someone who is a team player, highly adaptable, a self-starter, and creative. Travel to the supported offices will be necessary, and additional travel may be required.

Position requires BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in teaching or training; minimum four years working experience preferably in a law firm or other professional services organization; knowledge of business software applications and an ability to quickly learn and apply business oriented applications and tools; must have the ability to assess training needs and develop programs to meet those needs; familiarity with technology based learning tools a plus; must be experienced with Microsoft Word and document production; excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills necessary.
