Claims Register Updated

Knowing that today is the deadline for filing a Proof of Claim, I’ve updated the Claims Register over in the Bankruptcy section.

Argh…I never got around to filing anything.

    Oh well.

Water under the bridge I guess.

I still don’t fully understand the process. I guess I should have hired a lawyer to help me understand how the lawyers are trying to screw me.

Through yesterday (none of today’s filings), total claims show as $100 million. But $50 million of that is one former client, which must be an asserted malpractice claim.

Also notable: several former shareholders asserting claims exceeding $1 million each.

I think the $50M is Ron Katz. Take a look on the BK page and you’ll see an application to file his claim under seal. Also, I recall seeing a $72M claim by one of the landlords a while back (of course, that will be capped, probably in the neighborhood of $15-20M).

Anybody else not seeing their claim in the updated claims register? My claim was listed in the last update but doesn’t seem to be there now.

Yeah, I noticed a LOT of claims that WERE on the previous update are NOT there now. Mine still doesn’t show. Thankfully I got a stamped copy.
